If you want some quality time to connect with your partner, visit Sandbridge Beach. This couple’s review is so detailed that I am citing it entirely.

“Great place to go without the crowds. We visited this beach because of the reviews and because it was recommended by locals. It was clean, not crowded and we saw lifeguards cruising up and down on ATVs all day keeping watch. We brought your own beach umbrella, chairs, snacks, etc. Parking can be a little tricky so I would recommend coming early in the morning or wait until the afternoon (after 2 pm or so). We went in the afternoon and found some free parking. After beach time, we utilized the outdoor showers to hose off our chairs, feet, etc. before driving back to our short term rental place. It was a great time.” – Chris N Kristi W

At the check-in, they take your ID and then you board a bus that takes you to the lighthouse shop. You can climb it (there is a fee to climb it). There is also a walkway to the top of the dune that offers great views of the ocean and both lighthouses. There are 2 lighthouses. The older one, is the one that you can climb. The bus drivers and guides at the lighthouse are very friendly and love sharing information about the lighthouses.” – Doug W

“This hidden gem has a multitude of treed paths winding through the woods and past two beautiful lakes! Several decks are situated throughout for you to rest a moment and enjoy the tranquility. It’s very well maintained and at the front of the park there is a large covered area with picnic tables, bathroom facilities, a boat ramp and a fishing pier!! It’s conveniently located just off Northampton Blvd between Independence Blvd & Bayside Rd. Although the park is well used you never feel like it’s overcrowded.. it’s a serene, calming walk ….” – Linda Allen C
