Best Places to Visit in Minnesota
The Twin Cities, an endearing lilting accent, excellent local craft beer, and a yearly tundra haven’t changed much since the ice age’s glaciers melted. There are so many beautiful sites to visit in Minnesota that deciding which is the finest is challenging!
The Boundary Waters
If you want to get away from humans and focus on nature and yourself, the Boundary Waters is the most excellent spot in Minnesota.
Bring nothing but your best outdoor gear, a map, a compass, and a permit to the Boundary Waters. You can camp, paddle, walk, and reconnect with your inner explorer in this rough terrain.
You can choose to camp… or stay in nearby Duluth or Ely, Minnesota, at lodges or B&Bs and go on day trips. The Boundary Waters provide adventure or relaxation, or a combination of the two!
Bay Lake Township
Bay Lake is one of my favorite locations to visit in Minnesota, which says a lot considering the state’s 10,000 lakes.
Bay Lake Township is a beautiful, quiet place with only 900 people. Rutgers Bay Lake Lodge, one of the most Minnesotan places you’ll ever visit, is the primary attraction in this small town.
This charming cabin resort is located directly on the lake and features several excellent eateries both on and off the premises.
Mall of America
If you’re unsure of where to go in Minnesota, go to Bloomington! It is well known for being the location of the Mall of America, the world’s largest shopping mall.
Before you get judgmental and think you’re too cool to go to a mall, consider this: you have no idea how great the Mall of America is.

Lake County
Lake County is a small town ideal for those who want to reconnect with nature by hiking and camping.
This area is home to huge lakes – after all, you are in the Land of 10,000 Lakes – historic shipwrecks, lighthouses (ironic, eh?), and breathtaking natural beauty.
Rochester
Rochester is located along the Zumbro River’s North Fork, surrounded by lakes, parks, and beautiful landscapes. Rochester is noted for its historic architecture, especially the 1928 Plummer Building, home to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.
