For motorbike and motorsports enthusiasts, there’s the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, where you can touch the bars of MLK Jr.’s jail cell, and Regions Field, where you can watch a baseball game together.

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens, with its authentic Japanese Tea House, arch entrance, bridges, Bamboo Forest, Zen Garden, Bonsai House, and more, are some wonderful romantic things to do in Birmingham.

Apart from taking a cruise from their local cruise terminal, one of my favorite things to do in Mobile sees the Battleship USS Alabama.

You can take a self-guided tour of the majestic ship and learn all about its history. GulfQuest – National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile Carnival Museum, Mobile Bay, and other attractions in the region.

The Mobile Botanical Grounds, which has a winter garden, a Japanese garden, walking paths, and a research center to learn more about the gardens, are more romantic activities to do in Mobile AL.
