For motorbike and motorsports enthusiasts, there’s the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, where you can touch the bars of MLK Jr.’s jail cell, and Regions Field, where you can watch a baseball game together.
The Birmingham Botanical Gardens, with its authentic Japanese Tea House, arch entrance, bridges, Bamboo Forest, Zen Garden, Bonsai House, and more, are some wonderful romantic things to do in Birmingham.

Gulf Shores
On the Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Shores is a famous tourist resort. It’s only 54 miles from Mobile and a great area to go ocean fishing, golf on two top courses, or watch dolphins. In addition to the usual beach activities, you may embark on a sunset cruise on the Gulf or take the whole family to a water/amusement park.
